Presentations and Papers

Spring 2006 Oral Paper Schedule (Oral presentations are 15 min + 5 minutes discussion; +5 min break between presentations for set-up. Powerpoint slides/computer projection mandatory. If you do not have your own portable PC or Mac, let me know one week in advance so we can make other arrangements.)

1) presentations: we offer an online sign-up for the topics. Please use Powerpoint slides (digital slides).

2) papers: aim for 10 pages, double-spaced which includes Figs. and Tables (total of these shouldn t exceed 4) and Schemes, if any but does not include References. Structure: Abstract (100 words); Introduction; Main Topic of Paper (Summary, 1 paragraph); Significance (1 paragraph); Results and Critical Discussion; Conclusion (1 paragraph).

Overall approach: take 1-2 papers from the literature relevant to your topic
